I was there. It was hot. It was full of greasy food. I ate too much. Again.
Thanks again to Mr. Puglia for putting together a great '05 Decatur Celebration. The acts were great, and the people, for the most part, were well-behaved.
The one show that I think *MADE* this years' celebration was not the Boyz, nor the Village People, or even Cledus T. Judd. It was JARS OF CLAY. I estimated at least 5000 people around the stage and lot, with maybe another 1000 in the street or so.
(And this was for the early show!)
What this proves is that just like the G and PG movies are winning over the R films over and over, that Christian bands are going to draw many more people than some headbangers or rap group.
How about the Newsboys next year?
