Well, fall is upon us, the kids are back in school (thank GOD almighty) and the weather is still 90 degrees (but is supposed to be fall-like tomorrow.)
Not much happening here in town. Perhaps a few folks watching the baseball playoffs (GO WHITESOX!!), others gearing up for highschool football, or maybe getting that boat ready for winter.
Well, while you're doing all that, I thought I'd point you to a different blog than you're used to.
Try Hey Pastor By The Way for some interesting discussion on religion for the non-religious, as I see it. MCR evidently has talked to some pastors who have volunteered to answer questions for anyone who may have had them, but didn't know who to ask. The cool thing is you can do it anonymously. It's not getting much traffic yet, so I thought I'd point it out.
Okay, MCR, here's one I heard a while back:
Q: If God is all-powerful can He create a rock so big that even He can't lift it?
A: Yes, but then he would create the power to lift it. (Okay, I heard it a long time ago at college, but I thought it was thought-provoking anyway.)
Oh, by the way, don't forget the AVALON concert on October 22nd at Kirkland Fine Arts Center!
