From August 30th through September 1st in an area north of Richland Community College, a new city is being built to accomodate hundreds of exhibitors, and literally hundreds of thousands of people for the 26th Farm Progress Show. The first show was evidently held in 1953, and every two years after new and exciting farming advances are shown to all who are interested.

For Decatur this will mean literally millions of dollars in tourist money coming to the city. Who knows what the future will bring after this year's show; perhaps more industry could settle in Decatur as a result. I plan on running more stories and/or pictures of the FPS as they become available.

TDD perhaps will be exhibiting equipment at the Farm Progress Show?

If anyone sees him, let me know.
